It’s kinda funny how we often see what we want to see, what we wish would be. Watching my granddaughter “pretend” to be all-grown-up got me thinking about the power of our thoughts. The reflections we see are often not true reality, but our dreams – or our fears. What we see, based on what we think, can hinder us or make our lives richer. Visualizing the best provides reflections that empower us.
That day was magical, even though it was nothing more than an ordinary one. Spending time with my daughter and granddaughter is always priceless – and CindyLu agrees. Girls Day Out is lots of fun!
Seeing CindyLu with her first love – my daughter – and my granddaughter made it clear we are also a reflection of those we love. My daughter is very much like me in many ways, her daughter like her. And CindyLu fits with us perfectly. We may each be individuals with unique personalities, but we share many traits that reflect our common bonds.
And though we sometimes see what we wish to see in each other, ultimately it’s the love and affection that shines through.
