So the day has come, I can’t hide anymore…I’m a shy person, and I’ve definitely hidden behind my blog, my pets, my passions. But here you go – I introduce myself to you, welcome questions, and would love for this to be in person some day! Hi, I’m Kim ๐

Yeah, CindyLu always has to steal the show… |
What’s your favorite non-animal related book?
Dr. Seuss is my favorite author. Oops, are his characters considered animals? My favorite book of all time is The Sneethches and Other Stories – because of the story about the green pants with nobody inside them. I believe it’s called What Was I Scared Of?
What’s your favorite non-animal related movie?
The Way We Were. *sniff*
What’s your favorite non-animal related food?
Blueberries. I’m thinking it wasn’t an apple in the Garden of Eden, it was blueberries…
Who’s your favorite actor?
Since early childhood I had a crush on Gregory Peck. And then along came Robert Redford. And not to omit the other, equally talented gender – Meryll Streep.
Funny story: when my daughter was in high school, her class was given a homework assignment in, um, sex ed class to interview a parent with a list of questions. I answered “Robert Redford” to every one of them, she was embarrassed but wrote it down. Next day in class, the teacher called on students, including her, to share what their parents had given for answers.
The teacher roared with laughter. The classmates didn’t have a clue who that referred to. Classic generation gap ๐
What’s one thing you have to do every day?
Drink coffee.
What makes you feel fabulous?
Drinking coffee.
What do you wish you were more skilled at?
Oh, boy, where to start…I tend to be a bit ambitious, curious, and ever-hopeful — the list is yea-long! One of the top things, and most relevant here, would be coding. Heck, all things internet for that matter.
What’s your favorite holiday?
Christmas. Hands down.
Favorite meal?
Steak and baked potato with a crisp side salad. *drool* (No vegan here!)
What do you like to do in your free time?
Play with and take care of animals. No-brainer, huh?
What one word would people who know you use to describe you?
Passionate.
If your pets could talk, what one word would THEY use to describe you?
Talkative.
What is one thing you’ve done that you’re most proud of?
Raising my kids. They’re awesome!
How is your pet most like you?
People who’ve witnessed it would laugh – CindyLu walks like I do…it’s a bouncy, quick-stepped prance.
What can your body do for you that makes you most proud?
Dance. Turn on that music!
If you could change one thing about your life what would it be?
I would have come to the realisation at an early age that what others think, say or expect of you, consider most important, doesn’t matter. It’s my life.
Other than blogging, what are three things you do that bring you joy?
Writing, Reading, spending time with animals and nature.
What’s one thing you could do to be more kind to yourself?
End the woulda/coulda/shoulda’s.
What drives you nuts about your pets? What melts your heart?
It’s crazy how they grab hold of your heart. It’s crazy how they grab hold of your heart.
If you didn’t have your current pets, what pets would you choose to have?
What kind of question is that? I can’t even consider…but you know, when you love animals, have a deep respect for all living creatures – they choose you. You are just the lucky one who is blessed by them.
Hi, I’m Wendy. Lovely to meet you, Kim!!
So nice to get to know you further. As you know I love animals too. Well, ‘love’ is an understatement. I would do anything within my power to help them. And like you say, we are the lucky ones to have been blessed by ‘them.’
Gorgeous photo of you and the very cute CindyLu ๐
Hi, Wendy! Thank you, CindyLu thanks you (of course) – and boy would we have a blast if we could cross the pond and meet in person!
Lucky, indeed!
This blog hop was such a good idea – so great to learn a little bit more about those behind the pups!
Love your train around the Christmas tree – adorable! Both Gregory Peck and Robert Redford seem to be getting a lot of love today! I agree they make great movies, but I think I’m a bit behind in the lust department for those two ๐
Awesome answers! It was very nice to learn a little more about you. And I can imagine the Robert Redford scenario.
Great answers, Kim. So glad you came out of hiding.
BTW, if you like Robert Redford, make a point of seeing All is Lost. It’s awesome and he did most of his own stunts.
It is nice to meet you. You and I are like the groundhog. We stick out hear up once a year and go back to hiding
I am SO with you on coffee. And The Way We Were. As for dancing… not so much! But I admire people who do!!
And now I know what Mama T looks like ๐ I’m with you on the coffee, sista’! I can’t live without mine.
I recognize the “passionate”. It’s what I would have said about you, it comes out in your writings so well. And loved you said animals choose us!
They do choose us, don’t they? Often, when we’re not even looking. ๐
Can’t beat reading and writing and nature – and you can enjoy a cup of coffee with all three passions…I know I do.
Love reading these posts. My mom never wanted anything to do with my blog or social media, it has always been about me and pets, but I got her to let me interview her this one time too. Everyone has such fun posts!
YAY!! Loved this and LOVE the Bon Jovi video that you added! Love that song! Oh and i happen to be drinking coffee while I am reading this ๐ You have always been such a good friend to me online, can’t wait for the day we finally meet in person!
How great to read more about you! I think the sex ed project sounds hilarious. I seriously hope my kids never end up with a project like that! LOL
I love the answer “talkative” – me too!
Finally got here– so we have Gregory Peck in common, and I wouldn’t say not to RR either!
Wish I could dance– maybe one day you’ll teach me! ๐
I love Dr. Seuss too – and who doesn’t love the Sneetches? ๐
And Bon Jovi? You are speaking my language here, lady. Loved learning more about you!
So nice to meet you! I’m loving this blog hop. ๐
Nice to meet you. I live by “what others think, say or expect of you, consider most important, doesn’t matter (for the most part anyway). It’s my life.” It is empowering to know that only YOU are in charge of your destiny but it certainly doesn’t make life easy. I am a pretty nice person (I like to think anyway) but just do things on my own terms. I’ve had to deal with a lot of situations where people felt they needed to bring me down in order to get my to conform to what they think is “right” and “responsible” – even family. I’ve had to distance myself from people who I really did genuinely like.
