Ahhh, doors are open sometimes, windows too; air comes through that doesn’t choke you with it’s dryness, or send shivers through to your bones. The sun shines – not only do you get to actually see it sometimes, but it’s brighter, warmer, and the days get longer. Showers and storms bring promise of greener trees and lawns, brighter flowers and gardens to come. Spring is definitely a happy time!
What’s even more important, if you ask me, is that it means I get to go out more often – more walkies, more play in the yard or the park – and I get to once again meet all the neighbors who just adore me. You know I love the attention! BOL And all the doggies in the neighborhood all are outside, too, barking from their yards or butt-sniffing along the walkies. It’s finally time again for friends.
Winter might be great for snugglies and long naps, but it gets boring. The house is dreary, stuffy, even chilly sometimes. But with Spring – woohoo!! Fling open those windows, Mom, and let me watch the birdies that I’m hearing again! Oh, and those squirrels! They’re running around like crazy out there!
The only problem with this time of year is deciding if I need to wear my coat or not – and that I leave to Mom…I’m concentrating on all the fun I’m going to be having. Living in this part of the country, you just never know what kind of weather you’re going to have – tomorrow! Back in 1975, we had the biggest snowfall OF THE YEAR – at this time. “Biggest Snow of the Season Shocks Chicago” Crazy! For the most part, though, we get lots of rain, mixed with what sure seems like a lot of sun and some warm days.
I love Spring!! Come play with me!

Awww…I love Spring too! It’s the best season for me, with summer still ahead and the promise of even more heat and green.
Alas, it’s our turn for grey skies, rain [all of this week] and colder days and nights. *sigh* This evening, when we stepped out [in the rain], we met exactly 2 dogs and those dogs were just as surprised to see us! And it’s not even winter yet.
