The beginning of a New Year always invokes images not only of renewal, but of newness – a clean slate, a chance to start over, a time to reflect and then plan for the year ahead. We’re starting off the year with a new commitment. We’ll be joining the 52 Snapshots of Life, a weekly themed photo challenge. This week’s theme is “New”.
CindyLu celebrated her birthday this week. She’s another year older, and starting out a new year in more ways than one – 2015, and her 8th year of gracing us with her precious presence.
And you can’t get any newer than a new family member. Donovan Lennon joined our family a little over a month ago. You might remember my daughter Becky, of Becky Sorrentino Studio (and mini pet portrait fame!)…well, Donovan is the first child of Becky and her husband, Mark.
Donovan joins Brooklyn, his cousin, in making me a bona-fide Grandma. I still can’t get used to that reference, though. I swear, I’m too young! (not…)
CindyLu is looking forward to the little guy growing big enough for her to play and snuggle with. Isn’t it great how we always have something to look forward to, even if we don’t have it right now?
Here’s to a fantastic year for all of us, full of dreams coming true and more dreams to anticipate…
Happy New Year!
Enjoy more photos celebrating the theme “New” – with many thanks to the host of 52 Snapshots of Life, The Lazy Pit Bull –
CindyLu is adorable, as always, but she might have a little bit of competition now from baby Donovan! Beautiful!
Thanks for linking up with us! 🙂
I agree with you on that one, Christina; but according to CindyLu the jury’s still out. Jealous much? LOL
It’s a joy to link up – big thanks to you for hosting #52Snapshots!
Happy Birthday CindyLu! Wilhelm will be joining you in eight-year-oldness later in 2015. Wilhelm also looks forward to playing with and snuggling every baby that he has never even met! Those babies grow into really great petting soft fur friends…
Thank you Bethany! Ooh, yes, they do grow into such great friends…something to look forward to!
CindyLu and Wilhelm….entering their “senior years”….
Now that’s new and happy birthday! Love Dolly
Thank you, Dolly! xx
