Have you been accused on more than one occasion lately of having the “guilty look”? Do you sometimes spend an unfair portion of your day feeling bad ’cause of something you did? Are you tired of the Crate of Shame? Is your tail gettin’ sore from hangin’ so low? Okay…this one’s for my doggie friends only. Dogs. No hoomans, please.

My “I’m sorry I did whatever” pose |
Are they all gone? Good. I have a warning for you, my furry friends. Someone, and we can only assume it’s a two-legger judging by the cruelty of it all, has a website dedicated solely to shaming dogs. No bones about it, it’s shocking. Now, I’ve been known to be guilty of a thing or two in the past, and lord only knows Mom’s constantly telling Chester and I we should be ashamed of ourselves, but – this is just going too far, IMHFO*.
Your hoomans can now stick a photo of you – the real you – on the internet with a note or caption telling the entire universe what they think you should be ashamed of having done. How you were a “bad dog”. Can you imagine? Think for a quick moment…is there something you just can’t help but the peeps get all up in your fur over it? Yeah, thought so. We’re all living beings, no one’s perfect. (No, not even cats, Rascal! Good grief, cattitude.)
So this is a heads up to you, just a fair warning your snout may soon grace the pages of a website solely intended on publicly shaming dogs. Chester and I are quietly working on our plan of attack here, I strongly suggest you consider doing the same. This could get very ugly if we don’t put the leash jerk to this a.s.a.p.!

Chester’s “Yes, I ate all the poop I could find again” pose |
Just curious, but how do you handle the “shameful” moments? Chester lowers his head and looks off to the side. It seems to work pretty good on Mom. For me, I usually don’t understand why she thinks I did something I shouldn’t have. But to keep the peace I hang my head (she can’t see me then! BOL) and that gets Mom to lay off.
And if anyone knows the name of who’s responsible for that website, let us dogs all know. Address would be even better. We can all pull together and retaliate work out an agreeable alternative with them. Shame on them, that’s all I have to say.
Your pal,
CindyLu xx
* in my humble furry opinion
Cindy Lu
I live by the motto of “I am NEVER guilty.” I would rather look my Mommy in the eyes and declare ‘Yeah, I did it – so what!”
I did see that SHAMEFUL site on Fb. I think it shows the HUMANS acting shameful while the dogs are acting like – dogs.
Love Noodles
Hey, Noodles, buddy! I really, really like your attitude, you got the thinking straight on that one! BOL I’m gonna work on being more like you.
And you’re right, it’s those humans! CL xx
I think, pardon me, that human shoud be spayed or neutered and not allowed to reproduce!
Excellent idea, Brian – let’s start a campaign on that one!
Sorry, I snuck in. But I’m glad I read this before Honey did. I’d hate for her to start a website that shames me. She’d never run out of material.
BOL It’s a tempting idea for us, that’s for sure! Please tell Honey I say Hai!
Dear Cindy Lu, that SUCKS! I can think of heaps of stuff that my humans should be ashamed of. Especially My Typist. She’s always late with my dinner, just for example. And who bathes their dog so much? SHAME on them, I say!
When i do something naughty, i pretend i didn’t. If i get caught, I hang my head. If that doesn’t work, I hang it lower and flatten my ears and give them my best “please don’t hurt me” look. I am very good at being tragic. You and Chester aren’t too bad yourselves. I think it’s in our genes.
Hooroo! X
Right?! How dare they?! I agree with you, GLP – shame on them.
Hey, it sounds like you’ve got it down to a science! Nice goin’, girl! xx
I definately need to work on this pose. I am always in trouble and I don’t know why. I bet when you do it, you melt the hearts of anyone who might be mad……
Your so cute….
Aw, shucks…thanks Bert. (psst – between you and me, I work hard on that heart-melting thing. Doesn’t always happen, so I guess I got more work to do! BOL)
Good luck on the pose, hope it works great for you!
Pocket runs and hides. Foley never feels shame. We is starting a blog for the shameful things parents do.
Pawsome!! Let us know when that site is up, we’ll gladly add our contributions. Between all of us here, bet we could come up with a bunch!
What a coincidence, I just saw the “shaming dogs” site mentioned on a message board that I belong to!
Some of the pictures are funny, but some of the “shaming” makes me wonder why the owners aren’t shaming themselves for setting their dogs up to fail.
Interesting point, Jen – I’m hoping that what those questionable ones are “shaming” is all just in a matter of fun, nothing serious in their day-to-day life.
