ADOPTED!
Candy and Gumdrop are two cats that you really can’t say enough about. They’re absolutely the most awesome little girls. Whoever adopts them will truly be blessed.
The girls came to my home when they were six months old. They’d originally been fostered by another family who could no longer do so. With tears streaming down my face as I write this, I now can no longer do so either. I had hoped for a purrfect home for them by now. They deserve it.

Back when they were young, with all the upheaval in their lives and illness they conquered (nothing major, just the usual stray kitten maladies), these two girls were truly bonded sisters. They needed each other, even just to know the other was close by, for a sense of security. That was never more evident than with Candy, who would seem lost and frightened if her sister wasn’t nearby. We decided they would need to be adopted together.

Time has gone by and they’ve lived in a home where many changes have taken place, including adjusting to new fosters. The girls have been nothing short of awesome in how they’ve handled the adjustments and sometimes-craziness that ensued here. They have shown themselves to be easygoing, adaptable, centered, and always loving.
If I possibly could I would adopt them myself.
Candy, dear sweet girl, oozes sweetness. Spend a few minutes with her, I guarantee you’ll see what I mean…and why references to sweet and sugary are so appropriate for these cats. (And why I keep repeating “sweet”!) She is a gentle soul, quiet and unassuming. Candy has one need: affection. She loves to be loved, and loves to give it. If you are looking for a lap cat, Candy is your girl. And you can ask CindyLu – she’ll tell you how great Candy is for cuddling with.
Gumdrop. I grin and shake my head as I type her name. First off, the boys here always call her Gumball. It fits. She’s a teeny-weeny girl, small-but-mighty type. Think of a tomboy type of personality, toss in that same sweetness that Candy exudes, and you’ve got Gumdrop. Even the bully cat here won’t dare mess with her, he knows better. She loves to play as much as she loves to cuddle. She’s fun, and she’ll even talk with you.
Both girls are great at makin’ biscuits – they give you the best massages! I do have to admit their faults, though; they both love coffee and try to steal sips of it from your cup, the little thieves.
The girls no longer require each other for that sense of security.
They’ve grown into their own, as the saying goes. So if you’re only interested in adopting one cat, please consider Candy or Gumdrop. I can personally attest, though, that you’ll truly find your daily life complete with both of them around!
Candy and Gumdrop are both healthy, vaccinated, litter box trained, spayed and microchipped, and waiting for their Forever Home at Almost Home Foundation.
