Today we are thinking of our friend, Alex, and his parents. Heartfelt purrs and tail wags go out to them.
Please visit them and leave a friendly word in this difficult time…
We’ve joined Alex’s Wordless Wednesday Bloghop! He’s right there, the first one –

Oh no! I felt guilty for not blogging for a few months but now I feel even worse b/c of this news! I am visiting Alex and Hilary now! Thanks for the update! Cute pic!
If it helps you feel any better, I was the same – yesterday, after coming across Brian’s Home’s post about Alex. Oh, and Thanks!
Dear Kim, I”m not sure who Alex is or his parents. But the photograph makes me think of honoring those we’ve lost in some way. I’ve never lived with a cat whose fur highlighted as does the one in your photograph. So lovely and so warm and welcoming. Peace.
That’s quite a thought – you’re right, it does! Alex is aging and not doing well, he feels okay but we’re worried about his parents who are sad at the thought of losing him.
The cat is Tammy, a foster here. She is a snuggle-bunny, and her luxurious fur just adds to it.
Hope your writing is going well!
Well all love that Alex, thanks for sharing the love.
We all do love him, but none more so than Sister Gracie! Thoughts and purrs for her, too… <3
This is so nice of you to send this shout out to Alex and his parents. Getting old is the pits, that’s for sure.
It sure is the pits, Susi! Thanks, but we love him so much, it was no problem at all 🙂
I was just there (late on the blog hop, sorry), I don’t understand.. is something wrong with Alex or with Hilary?
She alluded to it today, but was more so busy reassuring everyone that Alex is not doing too badly, all things considered….he’s not well, and the mere thought breaks their hearts. 🙁 (You can find more details in her post from yesterday)
This makes me feel sad!
we adore Alex and his Mom as well and are praying for the best
They’ve got a chorus of purrs and prayers for them, don’t they?! Such well-loved friends…
Our thoughts are with Alex and his hu-folk. Thanks for letting us know.
You’re most welcome – Thanks to Terry at Brian’s Home for alerting us here!
Kim – thank you so much for the shout out for Alex… He and I appreciate your thoughts and prayers (and I your friendship). He seems to be having a good day today… It is so hard seeing them age so fast… Big hugs! H
Aww, good to hear about good days…I feel for you, when they reach the older stages, it’s such a concern in so many ways! Big hugs to you, Hilary, and best of wishes for our dear Alex! xo
