Nothing like the heart of winter to keep you indoors, huddling to keep warm. I’ve been writing on my laptop with kitties and doggies all over and around me, all trying to keep warm. Last night was a killer – it reached -20 here, and we sure could feel it even with the furnace running full-blast! Fortunately, CindyLu is paper-trained, we don’t have to take her outside in weather like this. Poor Chester, though, ends up with a frozen paw every time he goes out. Two or three minutes max outside, and he’s limping on three toward the door to get in.
After it snowed like cats and dogs, repeatedly over a few days, the temps then plummeted to seal the icy fate. We cannot wait for the warm-up and thaw that’s headed our way for the next week!! It’ll be messy, but it’ll be worth it. All this snow, ice and coooold can go away! There’ve been reports of robins showing up in people’s backyards…does that mean Spring is on it’s way?
Dare we hope???
It is sooo cold. It’s the only time of year that I secretly wish that Argos was litter box trained. :p
Yowzas!! That IS cold!
Elyse and Riley
I had actually tried to train CindyLu to use a “dog litter box”…the only use it got was cats taking turns sitting in it lol So much for that idea!
Seriously? Minus 20? WHOA!
UGH! It’s freezing in Toronto, too! Tonite is it -22C and it’s been pretty miserable all week 🙁
Can it just be spring already?
you are supposed to get the warm up first and then we will be right behind ya! Can’t wait! I am sooo tired of the bone chilling temps!
I do have one bit of bad news…speaking of the robins. I just learned on a blog a few weeks ago that not all robins leave the cold for the winter (I never knew that before)….soooo any robin sightings could actually mean that they have never left…but…I am like you and feel that seeing a robin is definitely a sign that Spring is around the corner!
