Toons was surrendered to an animal shelter by his elderly owner. He would rub against her legs, and with her frail state she risked falling and serious injury.
This big boy is all about LOVE. He has spent his life being loved by, and loving in return, an adoring human. Oh, the cruel tragedies of getting older! Now, not only is his former owner having to live without him, he is depressed missing her as well. And at 6 years old, his chances of being the one chosen for adoption at the shelter are not great.
Toons is neutered, declawed, and a very sweet boy who loves to be held. Without his “mom”, he is frightened, sad and barely eating. All he needs is a quiet home with love! If you think about it, he probably has many, many years of life yet – cats easily live 15 to 20 years or more these days. Yet at 6 years old, he will be passed over time and again by adopters who head for the kittens.
